Blind Drawing Workshop

In this blind drawing workshop, participants were blindfolded and invited to respond to a series of sounds that they had previously shared with me. These sounds, each representing a specific emotion, served as the catalyst for their creative expression. The workshop focused on exploring alternative methods of emotional communication, emphasizing the idea that emotion can be conveyed through different languages and forms. The exercise encouraged participants to engage in "deep body listening," a practice of tuning into the body’s physical responses to sound, allowing them to respond through movement rather than sight. By removing the visual element, participants were free to express themselves without the fear of judgment, while also rethinking visual art as an expressive rather than figurative or traditional practice.
